A movement sensor (7-day accelerometry) is placed on you to measure your physical activity. This records your movements 24 hours a day for seven days. At the end of the seven days, send the device back to us in the prepaid envelope provided.
To assess physical activity and fitness, the NAKO second re-examination includes not only the 7-day accelerometry but also the measurement of hand grip strength and, in some study centres, bicycle ergometry. We also ask you to complete a questionnaire on this topic.
