We will determine your height, weight and various body measurements. For this examination, we will ask you to undress down on to your underwear.
Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) is used in this examination. BIA, also known as body fat measurement, provides detailed information about the composition of the body (e.g. fat and muscle mass). This examination is not undertaken for pregnant women and people with metal implants, cardiac pacemakers or active prostheses (e.g. after leg/arm amputations).
In the NAKO second re-examination, the bioimpedance analysis is part of the M3 examination module, the measurement of height and body weight, waist circumference, body composition and ultrasound examination of abdominal fat.
