NAKO session at the 2026 DEGAM Congress in Göttingen

The data set of the German National Cohort (NAKO) is as diverse as the framework itself: at this year’s DEGAM Congress in Göttingen, NAKO researchers will present the latest findings on social and psychosocial determinants of health and provide insights into the study’s wide range of topics and methodologies.

To mark its 60th anniversary, the DEGAM Congress on 30 September – 2 October 2026 will be held jointly with three other professional societies for the first time: the German Society for Social Medicine and Prevention (DGSMP), the Evidence-Based Medicine Network (EbM-Netzwerk), and the German Society for Medical Sociology (DGMS). NAKO cordially invites you to its own session on 30 September 2026 at 12.30 pm.

How do social and psychosocial factors influence our health? The NAKO session offers fascinating insights into this topic, drawn from one of the largest population-based cohort studies. Drawing on the latest research findings on income, work, gender, housing and living conditions, as well as mental and physical health, it highlights just how complex these interrelationships are.
