The project ‘NAKO+ILSE – Multimodal data fusion for early detection of dementia’ aims to combine multimodal data from various studies to improve the prediction of cognitive age and thus support the early diagnosis of dementia. Subtle changes in spontaneous speech have long been considered an early indicator of incipient dementia. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) measurements provide a direct view into the body and allow us to detect changes in the brain, for example. The data collected thus contributes to a more complete picture of cognitive ageing and dementia processes.
