Erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism and metabolic syndrome as predictors of long-term risk of cardiovascular disease

Project goals

The aim of this project is to record erectile function and measure sex hormones in participants in the German National Cohort (NAKO) at the Halle site.

This project aims to investigate the association between hypogonadism, erectile dysfunction and individual cardiovascular risk. The goal is to evaluate the significance of erectile dysfunction for male health. Data will be collected via an online survey on erectile function and by measuring serum testosterone and SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin) levels.
