Do caries and periodontal disease have an impact on oral health-related quality of life (MLQ) in adults?

Project goals

The aim of this project is to survey the oral health-related quality of life among participants at the NAKO Study Centre in Halle.

The project aims to investigate the relationship between subjectively perceived impairment of oral health-related quality of life and clinical dental findings/caries incidence depending on periodontal status in adults. For this purpose, the OHIP-G14 (Oral Health Impact Profile-Germany) will be used as an online questionnaire for participants at the NAKO Study Centre in Halle. The assessment of oral health-related quality of life also allows for the analysis of associations with other phenotypes in cross-sectional and longitudinal studies.
