Our body has an internal clock that aims to adapt our behavior and our physiology to the day-night cycle. Recent scientific findings indicate that individual eating times and the chronotype influence the metabolism and can contribute to the increased risk for metabolic diseases like obesity and diabetes. The goal of the Chronotype Study is to research these connections in the NAKO cohort.
To answer the scientific question, two short questionnaires regarding individual eating times and the chronotype as well as a 3-day dietary record are included in the Level 3 examination program.
