Beyond COVID-19: Characterization of Health-Related and Psychosocial Long-Term Consequences Following a SARS-CoV-2 Infection

Project goals

The project “Beyond COVID-19,” funded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, aims at an interdisciplinary and holistic investigation of the Long COVID syndrome. Within the associated Level 3 project, an additional survey of participants of the German National Cohort (NAKO) is being conducted so that they can be used as a comparison group in various analyses for the patients examined in “Beyond COVID-19.”

The study investigates the Long COVID syndrome. “Long COVID” refers to longer-term health impairments following an infection with SARS-CoV-2 that persist beyond the acute phase of illness of four weeks.
